Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Toast pecans in a small pan over medium heat until fragrant; set aside.
- Peel, core, and chop apples into small chunks.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Add the egg and mix until fluffy.
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon; add to wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in apples and pecans.
- Pour batter into a greased 8×8 baking dish and bake for 30-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before slicing into squares.
