  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 11/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 6 ounces semisweet chocolate (for ganache)
  • 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Fleur de sel for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt semisweet chocolate and butter together until smooth; set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk sugars and eggs until frothy; add vanilla.
  4. Combine the cooled chocolate mixture with the egg mixture.
  5. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; fold into wet ingredients.
  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan; bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  7. For ganache, heat cream until hot; pour over chopped chocolate and stir until smooth.
  8. Once brownies cool completely, cut into squares and top with ganache; sprinkle fleur de sel before serving.
