Instructions

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  3. Whisk together cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder in another bowl. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling completely.
  5. Melt semisweet chocolate with milk over low heat until smooth; cool slightly.
  6. Whip chilled heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form. Gently fold in melted chocolate.
  7. Spread mousse over cooled brownies and chill for at least 3 hours before serving.
