  • ¼ Korean pear
  • 1 stalk green onion
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ inch ginger
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, mirin, sesame oil, avocado oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped Korean pear until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and coat evenly. If desired, mix in gochujang for extra spice. Marinate for at least 15 minutes (up to 2 hours for best flavor).
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) or heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes (flipping halfway), or sauté in the skillet for about 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  4. Let the chicken rest briefly before slicing into bite-sized pieces and garnishing with chopped green onions. Serve with rice or lettuce wraps.
