Ingredients
- 2 Oranges (quartered with peels)
- 2 Lemons (quartered with peels)
- 7 oz. Ginger root (peeled and sliced)
- 2 oz. Turmeric root (peeled and sliced)
- 2 Heads of garlic (crushed)
- 2–3 tbsp Raw honey
- 2 bottles Apple cider vinegar (32 oz.)
Instructions
- Wash all fresh produce thoroughly. Cut oranges and lemons into quarters while keeping the peels on.
- In a large glass jar, layer the oranges and lemons, followed by red onions, jalapeños, ginger, turmeric, garlic, rosemary, cinnamon sticks, star anise, and rose hips.
- Pour the apple cider vinegar over the ingredients until fully submerged.
- Drizzle raw honey over the mixture and stir gently to combine.
- Seal the jar tightly and store it in a dark place for 4–6 weeks, shaking daily.
- After steeping, strain out solids using a fine strainer or cheesecloth.
