  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice or quinoa
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and optional red pepper flakes in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage until browned (about 5 minutes) and remove from skillet.
  3. Season shrimp with salt and pepper; cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add broccoli to the skillet with a splash of water; cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour in the honey garlic sauce and stir well. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
