Ingredients

  • 4 salmon filets (6 oz each)
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger (minced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp water
  • Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix 2 tsp cornstarch with 4 tsp water. Combine this with orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, and garlic in a saucepan. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  3. Line a baking sheet with lightly oiled foil and place the salmon filets on it. Baste generously with half of the prepared sauce.
  4. Bake for 14 minutes or until flaky.
  5. Broil for an additional minute after basting again with reserved sauce.
  6. Serve over steamed rice and garnish as desired.
