Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 lb boneless rib-eye steak (sliced or chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sauté the vegetables: In a large pan, melt half the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped green bell pepper and onion; cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  2. Cook the steak: Remove veggies from the pan and set aside. Melt remaining butter in the same pan, add rib-eye steak with salt and pepper, and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Combine filling: Return sautéed veggies to the pan with steak; mix well.
  4. Prepare egg rolls: On each wrapper, place half a slice of provolone cheese followed by 2-3 tablespoons of filling. Fold and seal edges with water.
  5. Fry: Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry egg rolls in batches for 3-5 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
