  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup reduced sodium beef broth
  • 1 diced green pepper
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • Hamburger buns (6)
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Cut buns in half and spread mayo or butter on them. Bake for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with olive oil, onion, and green pepper until browned. Add garlic and sauté for 2 more minutes.
  4. Mix beef broth with cornstarch and beef bouillon; add to meat mixture in skillet.
  5. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and remaining seasonings; cook until heated through.
  6. Add cheddar cheese until melted, then spoon onto buns and top with provolone cheese.
  7. Return to oven for about 10 minutes until everything is hot and bubbly.
