  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped but not puréed.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp with beaten egg, panko breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Using your hands, form the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat until hot (about 350°F).
  5. Fry the shrimp balls in batches until golden brown on all sides (about 3–4 minutes). Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
