Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) drained tuna
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
  • 34 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Sliced bread
  • Softened butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine drained tuna with chopped onion, celery, parsley, and minced garlic.
  2. Mix in mayonnaise, olive oil, and mozzarella cheese; season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  4. Spread butter on one side of a slice of bread and place it butter-side down in the skillet.
  5. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the tuna mixture onto the bread. Butter another slice of bread on one side and place it on top (butter-side up).
  6. Grill until both sides are golden brown; carefully flip using a spatula.
