- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 stalk celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
- 3–4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sliced bread
- Softened butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine drained tuna with chopped onion, celery, parsley, and minced garlic.
- Mix in mayonnaise, olive oil, and mozzarella cheese; season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
- Spread butter on one side of a slice of bread and place it butter-side down in the skillet.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the tuna mixture onto the bread. Butter another slice of bread on one side and place it on top (butter-side up).
- Grill until both sides are golden brown; carefully flip using a spatula.
